The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 770 out of 1,321 passed the Social Worker Licensure Examination given by the Board for Social Workers in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga this June 2010.
The members of the Board for Social Workers are Lorna Camacho-Gabad, Chairman; Jesus S. Far, and Mary Ofelia L. Endaya, Members.
The results were released in three working days after the last day of examination.
The successful examinees who garnered the 10 highest places are: (1) Jalila Dialim Ibrahim, Mindanao State University-Marawi City, 84.40; (2) Maelen Joy Sanchez Naz, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 83.60; (3) Rheodara Calipusan Adorable, Asian Social Institute, 83.50; Levi Grace Dela Cruz Ambon, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 83.50; Rachel De la Cruz Santos, Western Philippines Univ.(Palawan N.A.C.)-Aborlan, 83.50; (4) Emily Mejias Gatillo, Mindanao State University-Marawi City, 83.30; (5) Clyde Masumbol Bonita Mindanao, State University-Marawi City, 83.10; (6) Leslie Aleta Loresto, University of Rizal System-Rodriguez, 83.00; (7) Norlyn Jean Reyes Campita, Asian Social Institute, 82.80; Pretz Vernice Almoite Vinluan, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 82.80; (8) May Anne Sena Corpuz,Philippine Christian University-Manila, 82.70; Rhiza Villa Ugay Taladua, Mindanao State University-Marawi City, 82.70; (9) Maria Mae Quinser Candido Vargas, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 82.40; (10) Sheen Lilang Faminialan, Central Philippine University, 82.30; Joshua Meneses Matipo, Philippine Christian University-Manila, 82.30.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, July 12, but not later than July 29, 2010. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), two passport- sized pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag), one piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), two sets of metered documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of R600 and Annual Registration Fee of R450 for 2010-2013. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The oath-taking ceremony of the successful examinees in the examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Professional Oath will be held before the Board on Friday, Aug. 6, at 1p.m. at the Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Roxas Boulevard, Manila. All must come in formal attire.
Registration for membership with the Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. (PASWI) will start on Monday, July 19, at PRC.
